Lots To Look Forward To On Longboat Key
Longboat Key, Florida has a lot to look forward to in 2017. With a new hotel and restaurants slated to open in 2017, we can expect the area to draw tourists and new residents from around the world.
The opening of Zota, the newest resort in the area, is
scheduled to open in May on the site of the previous Hilton Hotel on Longboat Key. The beachfront property will also have 2,500 square feet of meeting and banquet space, a restaurant and wine bar that will be open to the public.
On the north end of the Key, Shore's second restaurant in the area is expected to open in the old Moore's location. The first is on St. Armand's Circle on Lido Key. This past July, Richard Gonzmart, owner of Columbia Restaurant Group, purchased the former Pattigeorge's with the intent to introduce a new restaurant concept in this location.
A very popular island enhancement has been the improvements to the current Bayfront Park. The new park will feature a dog park, kayak launch, pickleball, biking and walking paths and lots more. The project is expected to be completed in June of 2017 and will be a wonderful outdoor community space for all residents.
